The Wheatsheaf at Beetham is a family owned traditional free house located in an area of outstanding beauty. Records show that the Wheatsheaf has been welcoming guests since 1609. Under the current ownership of Jean and Richard Skelton who uphold the traditions of a warm and friendly welcome, superb food and service continue.
Located in the stunning village of Beetham, The Wheatsheaf is ideally situated for visits to the South Lakes, Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall, Leighton Moss Nature Reserve and many more.
For those not wanting to drive then the local area is ideal for scenic walks or cycling. Dallam deer park and the famous fair steps are both easily accessible from the Hotel.
The Wheatsheaf is the perfect place to relax either in the Old Tap Bar just reading a magazine in front of the log fire, or enjoying our Award winning food which is served lunch and evenings Mon to Thurs and all day Fri, Sat and Sun.
In addition to our tables downstairs we also have restaurants upstairs for those who prefer a more formal setting.
Our Mirror Room for instance can accommodate up to ten people in style with your own private service. You could also stay in one of our comfortable bedrooms with views overlooking the village of Beetham, all with en-suites, tea and coffee making facilities and televisions.
Private functions, conferences, weddings, anniversaries can all be arranged at the Wheatsheaf and we are happy to put bespoke packages together so we can really cater for your every need.
